In a move to attract short distance obstacle course runners, Tough Mudder has unveiled plans for a “Tough Mudder Half” – a 5-mile version of its famed obstacle course, and without fire, ice or electricity.
According to Tough Mudder officials, the short course will still feature tons of mud and epic obstacles designed to test teamwork and grit.
While a normal Tough Mudder features a course of 10 to 12 miles with more than 20 obstacles, the Tough Mudder Half will feature 12 or more obstacles. Among the obstacles will be Kiss of Mud, Mud Mile, Everest, Berlin Walls, Pyramid Scheme and Walk The Plank.
Finishers will receive a white headband instead of the traditional orange.
